๐Ÿซ“ Aloo Ka Paratha Recipe

๐Ÿง‚ Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 1 tsp oil (optional)

  • Water as needed

  • Salt to taste

For the potato filling:

  • 3 medium boiled potatoes (mashed)

  • 1–2 green chilies (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp grated ginger

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • ½–1 tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp garam masala

  • ½ tsp amchur (dry mango powder) or a squeeze of lemon

  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

  • Salt to taste

For cooking:

  • Ghee or oil


๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Instructions

1. Make the dough

  1. Add wheat flour, salt, and a little oil in a bowl.

  2. Gradually add water and knead until soft and smooth.

  3. Cover and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.

2. Prepare the filling

  1. In a bowl, add mashed potatoes.

  2. Mix in green chilies, ginger, cumin, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur, coriander, and salt.

  3. Combine well.

3. Stuff the paratha

  1. Take a small ball of dough and roll it slightly.

  2. Place a generous amount of potato filling in the center.

  3. Bring the edges together and seal.

  4. Sprinkle flour and gently roll into a thick paratha.

4. Cook the paratha

  1. Heat a tawa.

  2. Place the rolled paratha and cook until brown spots appear.

  3. Flip, apply ghee/oil, and cook both sides until golden and crisp.

  • Curd / Dahi

  • Butter

  • Pickle

  • Chutney
